The Veil of the Hectic Life Style

There a several ways that Satan uses to hide God from the hearts and minds of people. God01 hectic veil wants people to clearly see and meditate upon Jesus, the cross, and the Word. Satan, of course, wants the opposite.

One of the most common veils Satan uses is the hectic style of our lives. We are so busy. In many families husband and wife work full time jobs. When they aren’t at work many families have extra-curriculars for the kids – sometimes two or three in one afternoon and evening. If not running around chaotically, we have repairs and improvement to do on the house, yard, or cars. If not repairing something or running around, we have personal recreations, friends, and other events.

Most of us are so busy that if we have a moment when we do not have to be running around like a puppy chasing its tail, we just want to sit still and do nothing. When Sunday morning is that time to sit still, or when you just don’t want one more thing to do, especially at church or with God’s Word, then Satan has accomplished his goal. A veil has been cast over Jesus, his Cross, and the Word.

As the passage below from Corinthians points out, those veiled, those blinded “cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.”

You know how hectic your life style is. Don’t allow the overwhelming chaos to keep you from seeing the light of the Gospel. Enjoy life AND take time for Jesus and the Word. Keep the Lord’s blessings in the open, not under a veil.

3 And even No Veil cleanedif our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God (2 Corinthians 4:3,4).
